A retreat center for awakening God's call

OUR MISSION

MorningStar Renewal Center is a spiritual renewal, faith formation and ministry action center rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition and owned by the Archdiocese of Miami. Its primary mission is to serve the people of God of South Florida.

MorningStar provides facilities, resources, and programs that aid the process of spiritual growth, lifelong faith development, leadership as disciples, and ministry formation for the building up of the local church and the community at large. MorningStar Renewal Center is a place where doors and hearts are open to all people who seek and experience an awakening to God’s continual call to conversion and eager to discern their response to it in the world.

Facilities

OUR FACILITIES

MorningStar Renewal Center provides a comfortable setting for meetings, conferences, and retreats for a variety of groups -religious, educational, business, and governmental. With a maximum capacity of 80 for both day or evening events as well as overnight accommodations, MorningStar offers all that you would need for your desired group meeting:

An attractive conference room which allows for large group gatherings as well as small break-out sessions;
a comfortable dining area with full food service provided;
and a chapel for those groups seeking opportunities for worship together.

For those staying overnight, accommodations are semi-private with dormitory style showers and bathrooms. Each room is equipped with two twin beds, individual climate controls, a sink, and a view of the lush grounds of the renewal center.

Programs to enrich, enliven, and ignite your faith and to deepen your relationship with God. Daytime and evening sessions offering varied opportunities for prayer, reflection, learning, and dialog with others as important avenues to fostering ongoing spiritual growth. Programs include:

Ministry Development

Programs created for ministers both ordained and lay; professional and volunteer, with an aim to provide support, ongoing formation, networking possibilities, and some good 'ol R & R. Programs will include topical offerings of interest to those in ministry as well as days (or a few hours) set aside for ministry groups or teams desiring a time of retreat together. For The Family

A variety of sessions developed to help strengthen and support the family unit, the domestic church, in all the joys and challenges of family life. Programs include events for the entire family as well as times set aside just for couples. Scheduled events include:

Other Areas and Offerings

ECUMENISM: Ecumenism is the promotion of unity, cooperation or improved understanding between distinct religious groups or denominations within the same religion. Programs will be presented from a variety of religious perspectives in an effort to promote greater mutual respect and cooperation between people of different religions
