Coming events forecast shadows.  Most certainly Isaiah's Servant Songs were prophetic words applied to the suffering of Jesus and certainly the prophetic words of Simeon applied to Mary.  This being the Lenten Season, it is a perfect time to contemplate and reflect on the suffering of Mary as the mother of Jesus as it is enumerated in the Seven Sorrows of Mary Chaplet to give us a different perspective on the Passion of Christ. May we all be enriched through this morning of prayer.

About  Pat Fairfield: Started out as a Jr. High teacher in New York State.  Was a Pastoral Associate in Anchorage, Alaska for a year.  She was a Sister of Mercy for 20 years when God called her to come to Florida. Moved to Miami in 1978 where she attended St. Thomas University and earned a Master's in Pastoral Ministry in 1985.  Received many certificates for participating in Catholic Biblical Scholars Series also at STU. She completed the Spiritual Direction Program at St. Thomas University in 2001.
