"A spiritual director is one who helps another to recognize and to follow the inspirations of grace in his life, in order to arrive at the end to which God is leading him.”
Come and explore the rich contributions the ministry of Spiritual Direction / Companionship have to offer. You may find that you might want to explore it more for yourself. Join Sue DeFerrari, the director of the Spiritual Companionship Program for St. Thomas University and a panel of certified Spiritual Directors of a variety of faith traditions as they share some of the gems of learning to listen along side someone who is seeking to listen / discern God’s voice in their lives!
The 3 year formation program offered by St. Thomas will be discussed along with other riches discovered in the spiritual journey when approached with intentionality of a Spiritual Companion.
Facilitator: Sue DeFerrari serves as the director of the St. Thomas University Spiritual Companionship Program and teaches the first year cohorts as they begin their formation as spiritual directors. As a spiritual companion/director herself, she directs retreats, serves as a supervisor for directors, and meets with directees individually. In recent years, Sue has placed focus on helping to develop the community of Spiritual directors in South Florida by creating opportunities for education, formation and community networking.
