Throughout Christian history, followers of Christ have sought after pathways to holiness, ways to deepen their relationship with Jesus, and thrive as disciples. These pursuits have led to what has become known as a Rule of Life. Our Rule of Life is our tangible declaration that states we will, to the best of our ability, pursue Christ’s passion, which flows out of Christ’s love for all humanity in every aspect of life. In a real sense, our Rule of Life becomes a regulator keeping us focused on God’s love for us and on our desire to love like Christ loves.

Gene Yotka is husband to his wife MaryAnn and father of 5 and grandfather of 6. He served many years as Senior Pastor in local churches, a spiritual director and pastoral counselor as well as the founder and director of The Awakening Institute for Spiritual Formation, Spiritual Direction and Soul Care in Cocoa Beach, FL. A passionate teacher and retreat facilitator who focuses on avenues of deepening one’s relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
