An 8-week overview and immersion into core elements of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola

Could your prayer life use some creative perking-up? Are looking to develop new or renewed methods in prayer? Do you want to learn more about developing a contemplative practice that engages your whole self? This 8-week series will immerse you in a condensed version of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. The series is arranged so that whether you are new to Ignatian Spirituality or you have participated in the full Ignatian Retreat in the past, you will have a rich and deepening experience. As you explore the main facets of the Ignatian Exercises, you will also be introduced to complementary art, poetry and more. You will experience these 8 weeks to be refreshing, freeing, engaging, and full of God's invitation to More! Topics will include major themes in Ignatian Spirituality such as:

  • "Discernment" 
  • "Principle and Foundation" 
  • "Detachment" 
  • "Consolations and Desolations" 
  • "Spiritual Direction" and more

Thursdays, March 3rd to April 21st - 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Make Lent count in a New Way by immersing into Ignatian Spirituality.

Fee: $100 - You'll be using your own Bible. All other materials will be emailed to you weekly.

Facilitator: Ann Rose Ann Rose taught English and Humanities fulltime at Miami Dade College for 35 years, and then taught another 11 years at St. John Vianney College Seminary after her retirement. She has co-facilitated Year 2,  the Ignatian Retreat, in the Spiritual Companionship Program at MorningStar.  A member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Coral Gables, Florida, Ann has given presentations and led retreats locally and in other areas of Florida and North Carolina. She frequently combines her interest in the art and writings of earlier Christian traditions with our present-day longing and search for spiritual depth.
