We hear about the benefits of a regular prayer life.  We attend seminars and read articles about the importance of meditation and fostering inner calm, and learn about some of the techniques.  We recognize all of it can help...yet, knowing about prayer and meditation is different from actually practicing it.

Kathryn Carroll for a three week series in which we won't just talk about spiritual exercises...we will practice them. The one hour classes will feature brief introductions to methods of meditation and contemplation followed by an opportunity to try them.  There will be time to reflect on each experience as you discern which practice(s) work best for you.  Techniques from various faith traditions will be explored.  You will come away with practical experience, and hopefully, a commitment to integrating meditation and prayer into your daily life.
