What is a Preaching SLAM?  Come and experience it!  A line-up of gifted people proclaiming a message of hope; passionate in articulating the challenges and consolations of faith; and bold in their determinations to find creative and clear methods to share the transformative love of God.  The evening will inspire and strengthen you and hopefully encourage you, as St. Phoebe did, to answer God’s call to ministry, to service, to make a difference.

The Feast of St. Phoebe – a deacon in the early church at Cenchareae whom St. Paul commends to the believers in Rome (Romans 16:1-2a) – provides an opportunity to celebrate other women, women of today’s church, who have answered the call to ministry.  Come and participate in an evening to honor St. Phoebe and celebrate the voices that continue, in her spirit, to serve the people of God.
